SYDNEY
I slowly opened my eyes, groggily scanning my surroundings. I was taken aback when I realized that this room wasn't mine. The bed was too big, too luxurious. And the arms wrapped around me... they weren't mine.
My surroundings were a blurry mess, and every slight movement made my stomach lurch with a wave of nausea. I groggily tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through my temples, reminding me of the reckless night I'd had. The memories were hazy, but the pounding headache and dry mouth were harsh reminders of my drunken escapade.
Panic set in as I scrambled to remember the events of the previous night. I had attended my sister Alexis's engagement to the famous Alpha Gray Anderson.
My family was very mean to me last night. I felt sad and hurt. I drank a lot of alcohol to forget my pain. I'm hurt and angry. I drank, danced, and... I couldn't recall anything after that.
As I struggled to free myself from the arms holding me, I realized that I was naked. Completely, utterly naked. My heart racing, I frantically looked around the room for any sign of my clothes.
That's when I saw him: Alpha Gray Anderson, lying beside me, his chest rising and falling with each breath. His eyes were closed, but I could sense his power, his dominance, even in sleep.
Oh God, what had I done?
Suddenly, the door to the room burst open, and my sister Alexis stood frozen in the doorway, her eyes wide with shock and horror.
"Sydney, what... what is going on here?" she stammered, her voice trembling with rage.
I tried to speak, to explain, but my voice caught in my throat. I was too stunned, too scared to say anything.
Gray's eyes snapped open, and he gazed at me with a mixture of confusion and anger. Then, his gaze shifted to Alexis, and his expression darkened.
"Alexis, what are you doing here?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Alexis took a step back, her eyes darting between Gray and me.
"I... I came to talk to you, Gray. But... but what is Sydney doing here? And why are you... why are you both naked?"
Gray's gaze returned to me, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.
"That's a good question," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "One that Sydney will have to answer."
"I don't know what happened last night," I said, feeling confused.
I was very confused and disoriented. I remembered drinking a lot of alcohol last night, but after that, I don't remember anything.
Then Alexis shouted at me, "You slept with my fiancé, and you want me to believe you now that you don't know what you did!”
She was furious. All I could see was anger in her eyes towards me, as if she were ready to kill me.
I felt very bad and ashamed. I knew I had made a big mistake. Alexis caught me in bed with Alpha Gray, but I didn't know how it had happened.
Alexis's face was flushed with anger, her cheeks burning bright red with a mix of rage and hurt.
"You are jealous of me," she said. "You are jealous because I will be the Luna of this pack. You always feel like you are not as good as I am."
I knew Alexis was hurt and angry, but her words still hurt me. I always felt like I was not as good as Alexis. She was always perfect, and I was not.
"I'm sorry, Alexis," I said. "I swear I don't know what happened last night. I was drunk, and I don't remember anything.”
I tried to explain, but Alexis didn't want to listen.
"You are just making excuses!" she screamed at me. "You are just trying to cover up what you did. But I know the truth, Sydney. That's something I will never forgive!"
Alexis was crying now, and her body was shaking. I felt ashamed, but I didn't know how to explain the entire situation I have right now with Alpha Gray and Alexis.
Gray's eyes blazed with anger as he gazed at me. "You drugged me, didn't you?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.
I shook my head, trying to clear the fog. "What are you talking about? I didn't drug you."
Gray's expression turned incredulous. "Don't lie to me, Sydney. I can smell the drugs on you. You manipulated me and took advantage of me when I was vulnerable."
I felt a surge of fear at the accusation. "No, Gray, that's not true. I swear, I don't know what happened last night, but I would never drug you."
Gray's face twisted in disgust. "You're a clever little manipulator, aren't you? Using your body to get what you want.”
Alexis stepped forward, her eyes flashing with rage. She moved towards the bed with a slow, steady pace, her blazing stare fixed intently on me, as if she was ready to unleash her fury.
“Please be fair, Alpha,” I pleaded. “Believe me, I don't know what happened to us last night.”
Gray's gaze never left mine. "Fair? You want to talk about fair? This... this... bond between us is a result of your manipulation and you're going to pay for what you've done!"
I felt a chill run down my spine at the anger and hatred in Gray's eyes. What had I gotten myself into?
The anger and hatred in Alexis's eyes were unmistakable. Her eyes blazed with an intense, seething fury that seemed to burn with a fierce inner flame. Her body began to tremble, and her muscles tensed. I knew that look, that feeling. It was the sign of a werewolf about to shift.
"Alexis, no!" I shouted, trying to stop her. But it was too late.
With a fierce cry, Alexis's body began to contort and change. Her limbs shortened, her senses grew sharper, and her skin itched with the growth of fur. In a matter of seconds, she transformed from a beautiful young woman into a snarling, snapping werewolf.
The werewolf Alexis was enormous, with razor-sharp claws and teeth. Her eyes glowed yellow in the dark, and her fur stood on end as she growled and snarled. She was furious, and she wanted to kill me.
I backed away slowly, trying not to make any sudden movements that might provoke her further. But Alexis was beyond reason. She was consumed by her anger and hurt, and she wanted revenge.
With a fierce growl, Alexis charged at me, her claws outstretched. I tried to defend myself, but I was no match for her strength and ferocity. Just as she was about to attack, Gray intervened, grabbing Alexis by the scruff of her neck and holding her back.
"Alexis, stop!" he shouted, his voice firm and commanding. "You're not thinking clearly."
But Alexis was beyond reason. She struggled and snarled, trying to break free from Gray's grasp. It took all of his strength to hold her back, and even then, it was a struggle.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Alexis began to calm down. Her breathing slowed, her muscles relaxed, and her eyes lost their fierce glow. Gray released his grip on her neck, and she collapsed to the ground, exhausted and spent.
As I watched, Alexis slowly transformed back into her human form. She lay on the ground, panting and trembling with exhaustion. I knew that she was still angry, still hurt, but at least she was no longer trying to kill me.
I remained frozen on the bed, unsure of what to do next. Gray's anger was palpable, and I could feel his eyes burning into my skin. I was still naked, vulnerable, and completely at his mercy.
"Get out," Gray growled, his voice low and menacing. "Leave my pack, and don't come back."
I hesitated, unsure of what to do. I knew I had to leave, but I was naked, and I had no idea where my clothes were. I looked around the room, but Gray's anger was distracting me, making it hard for me to think clearly.
Alexis, still lying on the floor, looked up at me with a mixture of anger and hatred in her eyes.
"You should kill her, Gray," she spat. "She deserves to die for what she's done.”
Gray's eyes flashed with anger, and for a moment, I thought he was going to attack me. But then he seemed to regain control of himself.
He looked at me with disgust before he said a word that made my heart bleed.
"No, Alexis," he said. "I'm not going to kill her. But I am going to make her pay until she begs me to kill her."
I felt a chill run down my spine as Gray's eyes locked onto mine. I knew I was in grave danger, and I had no idea what Gray had planned for me.
