SYDNEY I woke up in a room that was unfamiliar to me. Even though my head and whole body hurt, I slowly opened my eyes, and my gaze swept over the entire room I was in. It turned out that I was sleeping in the room connected to Alpha Gray's office. He was no longer next to me when I woke up, and I was sure he wasn't in his office either because I couldn't smell my mate's delicious scent. I winced as I sat up, my body screaming in protest. Every muscle ached, and my thighs felt like they'd been put through a wringer. My neck throbbed with a dull pain, and I reached up to touch the tender skin.
