ALPHA GRAY As I slowly opened my eyes, I found myself in a familiar hospital room. My mother, Luna Lyra, stood nearby. Her face lined with concern, but her expression softened as she saw me stir. She quickly moved to my side. “How are you feeling now, Gray?” my mother inquired, but I didn't reply. I scanned the room, my gaze searching for my mate, but Alexis was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Alexis?" I croaked, my voice weak from disuse. My mother's expression softened as she stroked my hair. "She went home with her parents. They came to take her earlier.” A pang of disappointment and concern shot through me. I wanted to see her, to make sure she and our baby were okay, but I also felt relieved knowing that she's not here. With the threat from Alpha Devon's men looming, I'm relieved
