Damon I stared at Vanessa from across the table. The mouthwatering smell of the food was not quite enough to distract me from what she had just asked me. I could see the panic in her eyes, and I hated that. "Um...sure..." I said, and I hated that I had made things awkward. "I mean, most of my stuff is already here anyway," Vanessa reeled back and I frowned. "What?" "Nothing," she whispered as she finished dishing up. We ate in silence, and it was super uncomfortable. I set my fork down and reached across the table for her hand. "I'd love to move in with you," I said softly. "Never mind that most of my stuff is here. This is home to me.
