As I drove up my street, I saw a car come up behind me. I smiled because I knew it was Damon. He had perfect timing, because, of course, he did. My house was lit up, and I silently thanked Mandy for doing that for me. I knew she was inside, waiting for me. I parked my car next to hers and Damon parked behind me. As soon as I switched off the car, and jumped out. I met Damon halfway and our embrace was everything I could have imagined it to be. I wrapped my arms and legs around him as we kissed deeply.
“Missed you so much,” Damon murmured against my lips, and I smiled as I unwrapped my legs and set my feet back on solid ground.
