I knew Hank was in town. I wasn’t sure if Damon had come back with him, and I was doing my best not to feel like everything was falling apart around me. I sighed as I just about hugged the ice cream tub. When my phone suddenly rang, I nearly dropped it in my haste to get to my phone. When I saw Damon’s name flash across the screen, I froze. Should I answer? What if he was here, and he wanted to see me? What if he wasn’t here and this was him finally ending things? The ringing stopped, and I silently cursed myself for not answering. Then I considered calling him back. However, when my phone started to ring again, I answered as quickly as I could.
