Despite her arguments the men were reluctant to bring her along. Still, they had given their word and did not feel they could honorably break it, even to a woman. Leila refused to be dissuaded from her position, and after further discussion the men agreed she could accompany them on their travels, though they warned her they couldn’t guarantee her safety in case of trouble.
