I Need Your Hand
In the middle of the night, Stephanie woke up groggily when she realized that Daniel isn't with her in bed. Her hand fumbled for his body but she can't find him but his warmth is still with the sheets.
Forcing her reluctant eyes to open, she lifts her head to look around. And that's when she found him. He's sitting at the foot of the bed, leaning forward. Knees apart, his elbows are connected to it as he holds his head.
His bare back is facing her and even if she can't see his face, she's sure that he's drowned by his thoughts.
Carefully moving, Daniel must have noticed it because he sits straight and sniffs before looking over at her.
"Hey." She mumbled as she hugs him from behind. Her chin is above his shoulder and hands are on his chest. "Are you okay?"
