Victor drove us to the borders where the breach was located. This area of the territory consisted mostly of farmlands, so there were little to no people around. Because of the cold weather, the earth was left uncultivated to rest until spring. In front of us, the planes covered in snow expanded as far as the eye could see. It was a little cloudy, but the sunlight filtered through and we had good enough visibility. However, none of us could tell if the enemy was there and how many there were.
“I feel like my eyes are playing tricks on me.” Victor broke the silence, saying what was on everyone’s mind.
