As I opened the door, I sent a command through the mind link to all the wolves participating in the battle. It was one of the advantages of being a Royal Alpha. I could command and communicate with not only my pack but any werewolf within range. It was an additional guarantee that everything would go according to plan.
However, that power doesn’t work on my mate. My Luna and Queen was special. Even if I had the power to command her, I couldn’t compel her to do anything against her will. That’s why I made her promise me in a gentle way. I knew that being part of this battle was important to her. My mind would have been at ease if she stayed back at the castle or at least on the pack grounds here. But she was too stubborn and wouldn’t have it any other way. So, I compromised.
