Jake drives down a gravel road and I've been quiet throughout the ride. I don't know where we're going and he hasn't said anything and I don't bother to ask.
He gives me an assuring smile from across the driver's seat as his fingers trails non-stop on my thigh.
" Are you nervous?"
" Is this a surprise date?" I ask him, taking a view on either side of us as Jake's car drives on the gravel. There's nothing out here, well except for trees and birds. It's pretty calm here and I must say it's beautiful.
" You will know it's a date without me telling you, babe. I'm just taking you out of the apartment." He says and I nod.
