Imagining my best friend going crazy on the other side of the line, I struggled so hard to hold my laughter that my lips won't stop twitching.
After the auction, Lillian had asked me what really happened. I told her I’d borrowed the 300 million from Hudson just to win that bracelet back and humiliate Theodore.
But I didn't think she would be buying that anymore.
My phone wouldn't stop buzzing, but with Hudson sitting across from me, it would be terribly rude to keep texting.
