Chapter 7-----Aren’t They The Perfect Match I kept the handkerchief pressed to my eyes, trying to steady my breathing. Honestly, I couldn't care less who was sitting next to me right now. Then I heard my dad's voice - and it was weird how polite he sounded. "Mr. Evans, we've got special seating arranged for VIPs up front if you'd like to—" "I'm good here." The guy named Evans cut him off with this calm but firm tone that basically said "don't push it." Before Dad could argue, the wedding coordinator called for the parents to come up. Lena practically dragged him away by the sleeve. I was just about to hand the handkerchief back when the speakers blasted: "And now, please welcome our officiant, Audrey Shaw!" The spotlight hit me like a punch to the gut. The whole room went dead silent.
