“I can’t believe you’re pregnant,” Angie said, excited. Her hand was on my stomach while Imani had her ear against it talking to the baby.
“I can,” my mother said. We were at her house sitting in the room drinking tea.
“Me too,” Alana teased. She and my brother had just gotten married back in November just a week after Jeremih and I got engaged which was great because I really wanted to bring him there.
“I’m actually surprised you didn’t get pregnant sooner,” Kona said.
I laughed, then shook my head and said, “Me too. But it’s fine. I just have to postpone the dress fitting for a few months,” I said upset.
