Eric's POV:
Knock knock
I ignored the door on the door and continued sleeping
Knock knock
"Damnit! River! Who's it?" I yelled out and opens my eyes to see my mom entering
I realized I wasn't in my apartment.
"Sorry, did I disturb you? I only brought breakfast." Mom said apologetically
"No!" I jumped out of the bed as I took the tray from her hand and made her sit on the bed as I hurriedly tried to fix the bed and somewhat folded the blanket in a roll.
"Still messy as ever." Mom laughed making me smile
Brings back memories.
She was always like this. Gentle, warm and kind.
"Morning Mom, so what did you get me?" I asked not letting her know about the deal between me and dad last night.
"I'm so happy you and your dad fixed things and you'll be staying here." I just smiled awkwardly at her words
She doesn't have much time left anyways and I want to make it up for the two years..
I wanna be the best son to her.
"But I am angry at you about one thing." She frowned making me confused
"You didn't tell me about your boyfriend and the fact your dad agreed for your marriage."
I took a round trip in my yesterday's memories and figured what my dad lied about
"Ah, yes. Don't worry you'll be meeting him soon."
I rested my head on the lap and she gently pat my head.
"I'm glad your dad accepted you and may you and boyfriend have the happiest married life ever."
I was in tears.
I ended up remembering River and the future we had planned together.
What will I do once I get out of this one year agreement?
Will I be able to get over River?

I was now all dressed up getting ready for the meeting with my contracted fiancee. I'm not particularly interested or anything, it's just the usual.
"I'm so excited to meet him." Mom squealed as she watched me getting dressed up
The only time she leaves my side is when she's sleeping
I put on my perfume as I saw her happy expression.
"What's his name?" She asked me and I froze
I don't know
"Uh...his..name..is..." I was stuttering but she asked me
"I know..River right? You often mumble that name."
I almost dropped my perfume bottle
"River's the name of my roommate. And as for my boyfriend, it's a surprise. You'll know when you see him." I avoided the topic
"It's your choice. I trust it completely. He'll be the best man." She smiled
Who knows? I don't even know what he looks like.
"We done?" My dad asked as my mom hurriedly fixed herself gesturing me to ask if she looks ok
I held my left side of the chest pretending to be attacked by her beauty
She playfully hit me with a laugh

We were now sitting at a family restaurant. It was pretty expensive looking and we had reservations made beforehand but the only thing that is pissing me off is that the people have terrible sense of punctuality.
We have been waiting for an hour and a half already.
I sighed as I looked at my dad but he gestured me to wait
"They must be busy." My mom muttered awkwardly looking at dad to notice her but no use.
I was annoyed and tired to death. I got up and smiled at my mom
"You guys stay here, I'll be back from the washroom."
"Get back fast." My dad said without even taking a look at me
I sighed as I came out.
I don't really like being around my dad. Never did.
I was on my way to restroom but I heard a little noise and felt a tug.
"Meow.."
I looked down at the little creature
So freaking adorable!
I bend down and pet it.
It's a two month old kitten I'm guessing and he's really playful.
"Hey!" I said as it ran all the way towards the washroom.
I ran behind it.
It's a stray cat in a restaurant like this. People will throw it away. It's mom must be waiting.
"Oww!" I fell on the ground
I saw someone staring at me with absolute anger
Okay, I bumped into someone who was taking a pee..great..
"You?!" The person growled at me and I vividly remember that gorgeous face.
He hurriedly zipped his pants and wash his hands in the basin
Fuck the guy from last night!
I was about to run but he grabbed me by my shoulder causing me to loose my balance and I ended up gripping his collar which made him loose balance but his hand supported the sink
Our noses were touching
I could see his gorgeous eyes staring right at me.
Sexy...
Eric..
Now's not the time.
I swear he looks like he would spit fire at any moment
"I'll bloody kill you!" He said and I ended up closing my eyes thinking he was about to hit me but he moved away the next second
"f**k!" He growled when we both looked at his shoe.
The kitten I was looking for.
"This thing f*****g peed on me! These were my favorite shoes!" He yelled out but I let out a chuckle as I saw the kitten staring at me
Thankyou little one..
But the next moment I know is that he had grabbed the kitten by its neck and was almost about to strangle it but I held his hand
"Stop!"
"Leave my hand!" He said but I didn't budge
"I said Leave. My. Hand." He muttered in absolute anger
"Damn this restaurants, letting stray cats inside."
Before he could raise a complain, I snatched the kitten back from him.
"It's mine." I said
I don't want it to be thrown away
"I'll deal with you later." He said without even looking at me
"Well deal with me now!" I had a challenging look
