Our night was perfect. Watching Grandpa and Grandma take over the dance floor was unexpected, and the whole crowd cheered and clapped as they got behind them. Grandpa flipped Grandma over his shoulder and swung her around like a person far younger than him. She slid under Grandpa's legs, and he pulled her up on the other side and lifted her waist high, her legs flicking out behind her, and she landed gracefully. Her skirt flared out, showing the multiple layers of petticoat, as it was designed to do. I was impressed by his moves and how nimble Grandma was. If I had not been there to see it for myself, I would have thought the person recounting the event exaggerated the dance.
