It took all of my willpower not to shout at Roxy, tell her she was being stupid, that she was a good person and lucky. She could have died in that car crash alongside her mother, so many would mourn the loss of her. She was a more significant part of this town than she realized and did not even have to try. Holding the record for barrel racing brought more pride to the town. If she had not been in the accident, she would still have been in contention; she would not be back racing this season.
