Elodie’s POV Oh God, Oh God, Oh God! He knows! I need to get out of here, get away from him! ‘Mummy! You are hurting my arm’ Callie whimpers, her small voice cracking as I drag her through the heavy glass doors into the bright, carpeted expanse of the cruise ship’s interior. Callie’s tiny voice pierces through the thick, suffocating static of my panic, snapping me back to reality. I freeze, looking down at her small hand, clamped tight in my white-knuckled grip. Her skin is already flushing faint pink where my fingers have dug in. ‘I'm sorry, sweetie, I'm so sorry,’ I breathless-whisper, a rush of guilt flooding my chest. I instantly loosen my hold, but I don’t let go. Instead, I pull her into my embrace, keeping her pressed firmly against my side as I start to stumble my way back once
