We enjoyed a three-hour guided bike tour through Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Santa Monica Pier is located on Santa Monica State Beach in the eponymous Santa Monica Pier Area and Ocean Avenue neighborhood. Many hotels are nearby, plus attractions on Ocean Avenue and in Downtown Santa Monica. We had a historical walking tour around Santa Monica pier. Some of the guys went fishing on the pier while the rest of us admired the marine life, headed to Heal the Bay Aquarium below the carousel for up-close views of indigenous marine life, interactive exhibits and hands-on presentations.
