Khloe’s POV
“Aiden”, I softly murmured as I slid next to him in class and touched his arm lightly. “I am sorry. I didn’t know”, I tried to reason while trying to scoot as close to him as possible.
He grunted in response but refused to face me.
Worried, I nudged his jaw towards me and was surprised to see unshed tears glistening in his eyes.
However, he blinked them back quickly and shook his head.
“No, I am sorry. I should have asked about your opinion about the future first and I did not want you to find about the- …. ”, he sighed and forced out the next words. “I- I did not want you to find about the proposal this way. God, this day could not go worse”, he palmed his face before trying to uproot his hair in sheer frustration.
