As the dust settled a little, my parents reluctantly returned to their travelling, but this time not alone. Another pair of retired leaders decided to join them in living out their midlife crisis together. As you might have guessed, my mom's new bestie and her husband, also known as Lucas and Laura's parents, are that couple. One might be happy that the in- laws are getting along this good, but I think it's best if I remain cautious. Not that I ever think they could have a falling out or anything along those lines, it's more that now we get double the parents and double the meddling and not so gentle nudges or suggestions. But hey, at least they're gone raking havoc on God knows what island is the IT spot for middle aged men and women looking to escape their children.
