31. Atropos Louis The two sisters stood by two large willow trees. The trees themselves emitted a prismatic arrangement of colors as the sun lit through the leaves. The strange leaves that normal willows don’t naturally possess; it looks more like glass than actual leaves. The colors are a kaleidoscope that shimmers and breaks like a pastel rainbow down their stem. One twinkled in my eye, and my mind reeled back to my skull at a speed that made me double over. My brain tried to catch up to my body, but all I felt is the searing pain in my skull. Throbbing at the sound of my heartbeat. How is it possible to hear your heartbeat when I don’t have a body?
