I quickly put the paper away and zip up my backpack.
"Why?" he asks.
"It's none of your business, Ryder."
I keep walking but he comes to stand in front of me, blocking my way until i pause in my steps.
"Ryder," I sigh in frustration. "Please move out of my way."
"Did you withdraw because alpha Haiden vanished you? Are you and your mother moving out?" I frown in distaste, I'm about to tell him that he's wrong but his ridiculous yapping doesn't let me.
"Haven, if that's the case, you know you're welcome to join my pack, right? My offer still stands, we can get married and you and your mom will have secur-"
"Wait, what?"
The corners of my mouth turn down, unimpressed by his arrogance and lack of sense to understand that I don't like him and nothing will ever happen between us.
