“I don’t know what happened. We are investigating, Noah.” The publisher’s voice floated over the line and I had to admit that he sounded upset, but not nearly as upset as we were.
“If heads don’t roll over this, you will be meeting my darker side.” Noah growled. The publishers knew what we were. They were probably the only humans that did. Except for the odd human mate, of course.
“Of course. I will personally investigate what happened.” The man didn’t sound fazed and as they hung up, I looked out of the window. The interview could tank my book before it even took off! Suddenly, I wondered why I even wrote it in the first place!
