14. Time to File for Divorce

On the way to my parents' house, we stop at a store to buy a suitable cellphone for my kids. It won't be a high-end one, but it will be something they feel comfortable with.
"Alright kids, remember, it has to be a phone that serves its purpose, which is to talk to your father. Pick a nice one, but remember that you'll have to share it. Tony, you'll be responsible for taking care of it."
Both nod. During the drive, they didn't say a word. I know what I said surprised them, but I imagine they're processing everything. They know this is a good opportunity for me, and they would never stand in the way of my dreams.
