CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

-YURI HANNA- "So how does it go?" Shin Rivas, who was leaning on the main pack house's door frame, examining her fingernails, inquired as we returned to Blue Moon. As soon as I slammed the door of my car shut, my legs moved towards her, hearing the pickup truck, Wrangler Jeep, and huge bike parked behind me, followed by the closing of the big gates. "They're more prevalent than we expected." Rotten bastards!" I expressed in a pissed manner, my face glowering as I wondered how Dallas obtained those rogues and assassins in such a short period. We were simply testing how things would be if we left Blue Moon, and we were correct. The scumbag was patiently waiting for us together with his shitty minions. I can't tell you how many arrows, daggers, and bullets I dodged earlier, and it reminded me of when we fought him and Luca a month ago. They are innumerable. Fortunately, we were able to steer clear of them by using alternate routes and returned to Blue Moon. "The odd is, Luna, we could be penetrated and assaulted tonight," Ridge claimed as he stepped out of the pickup he was driving. His jaw and arm muscles were tense from the stress. "We must assemble our fighters to be prepared for any surprise." Shin furrowed her brows and moved her glance at me as she crossed her arms above her bosom. Her face was agitated, not frantic. "Goddess! I despise the fact that those scraps believe they have power over us when, in truth, I can take them all down on my own!" "There's no doubt Quebie can handle them, Luna Shin," Lyme believed as he stepped out of the pickup truck, adding, "but we're still recovering from the previous dispute, and with Dallas's number of assassins, we can't be sure none of them will sneak in and harm the next generation while we're busy fighting the other rogues." The White Fang's beta was discussing the Greyson twins and their recent war. Reminiscing the time when the pups were almost in danger. Shin's eyes dilated, her nose flared, and her body began to expel steam as a result of what she had heard. "They can never touch my pup without first passing through me! I'll burn them all into ashes!" she rasped fiercely, her eyes changing from brown to brilliant yellow. Upon hearing her cousin's threat, Akira rolled her eyes as she removed her helmet. "Calm down, b***h. "Do you think I'm going to let them hurt my nephews without first tasting my fists?" Blue Moon's Luna instantly cooled down. "Oh, I made strawberry cakes for you, my kind-hearted cousin whom I cherish the most!" she chirped as the stream dissipated, and her eyes returned to normal colors. She grabbed Akira's arms and took her inside the kitchen, leaving us outdoors as if they were in their universe. "Do you want ice cream as well?" Just tell me what you want, and I'll provide it for you; just be sure to pulverize any rogues who come too close to my pups, okay?" "Don't treat me like a spoiled brat, Shin. But, yes, I'd have vanilla ice cream. Do you have pies as well? Damn it! Those nasty fools got me hungry!" Shaking my head, I followed their retreating backs before shifting my focus to Aleca Kenta. "So, Alpha, what do you think we should do now?" I inquired. The circumstances are complex. If war is what those mongrels want, we can deliver it to them; but, we suffered a lot of damage and lost a lot of people a month ago, and experiencing it again would be a huge blow to our financial status and our innocent members will have to grieve once more, which is the last thing we wanted. The White Fang's alpha sighed and flicked his gaze toward Raffa Greyson's office window. "Beta Ridge was correct. Those fucktards could surprise us and assault us tonight. I must reach out to Alpha Raffa first to figure out what needs to be done. Call Alva and Inu Reese to let them know what's going on. It's difficult to believe, but those mutts have successfully cornered the prince here in Blue Mo-" Before Aleca could finish his sentence, a huge blast rippled throughout the immediate vicinity. The Blue Moon gate-watcher said, "Rogues! We are under attack!" "s**t!" Stunned by Dallas and his men's bravado, I, Beta Lyme, and Beta Ridge cursed aloud. I guess the rubbish won't let us rest even for a moment! BLOODY PAWS "This is a terrible idea, doll. "You should stay at home," Inu Reese squeezed Alva's hand as they departed their packhouse and proceeded towards the car in preparation for their trip to Blue Moon. Alva came to a standstill in front of her husband, whose eyes were filled with concern. She raised her hand and cupped his cheek, and Inu leaned into her touch, drawing a warm smile to her lips. But, it swiftly faded when she remembered her premonition. Inu's shoulder sagged as the dominant female shook her head. "I saw them being apprehended," she explained, her voice trembling. "There's a big cage, and a cross and Yuri Hanna she's…" She paused, then her face became somber. "I will kill them before they get their hands on my second in command!" She immediately sped up her way to the automobile, and the former alpha rogue could tell he couldn't persuade her otherwise. As he followed suit, Inu exhaled and offered his condition. "OK, since you can't be stopped, the only thing you have to promise me is not to fight." I'm going to kill those motherfuckers for causing my wonderful wife distress!" Alva beamed as she got into the car and buckled her seatbelt. She still can't believe Inu Reese gave up his renegade life for good simply to be with her. That he's no longer out to seize Bloody Paws from her. Inu has the legal right to reclaim the land, but he gave everything to her following their confrontation with Luca and Dallas. She's not complaining because the last thing she wants is to see her spouse as a villain again.
