The following morning, Tricia woke up a happy woman. She even made breakfast for her son and woke him up despite his alarm, doing the work for her. She had several missed calls and tons of messages from her husband Andrew, but she ignored all of them, and as soon as his call came through, she declined it and blocked him.
"You are in a good mood today, mom," Jake noted, and his mom just smiled.
"Yes, I am always in a good mood." I was planning a family vacation with just you and me since your brother is barely here.
"Okay, and when is that?" he asked curiously.
