"I'm sorry, you said it was Irya that closed down the city?" I asked Pearl.
That's definitely not what she told us.
"Yes," Pearl said, nodding. "She said that Marina had fled the kingdom to run from the revolutionary army. Apparently, Queen Marina was terrified for her daughter's safety. Queen Irya said she sent out many warriors to bring Queen Marina back. In the meantime, she had closed the city off. She told us it would only be a temporary thing. Something to just keep us safe while our queen was gone."
Irya doesn't seem that scared to me. Not enough to lock the whole city up. She told me that revolutionaries like this come with the territory. Yet she was so scared she had to lock all of these people up.
"What's her excuse now?" I asked.
