15 Biting her mate.

Karic’s heart lit up the minute she entered her room. He had been waiting there for a while. He knew he should leave, but he could bring himself to.

He needed to see her, and he had promised her that he would be there tonight.

He watched her as she came to a stop in the middle of the room. She looked around her as if she was looking for him, but she couldn’t see him, because his dark clothes blended so well with the dark corner.

She made a disappointed sound that hit him straight in the heart. She placed her hand to her face, and sure enough he heard her sniff.

Tears…

Karic dropped the flowers he had picked for her on the floor and just moved without even giving her a sign that he was there. He wrapped his arms around her as he reached her.

“I’m here,” he said his heart clenching in his chest with the joy, hurt and other emotions he wasn’t sure he should be feeling after just meeting her yesterday. “We are doomed you and I,” the words slipped out of his mouth again.

He felt them to be true, because this couldn’t be real, there had to be something tragic there in their path, because two souls couldn’t be so drawn to each other like they were.

“You came,” she said wrapping her arms around herself to reach him.

“Yes,” Karic said kissing her neck. He pulled the flesh into his mouth just needing the taste of her skin in his mouth. She tasted sweet to him.

“I thought you wouldn’t be here,” she said still sniffing.

“I would wait for you for eternity,” he said, not surprised at his words anymore. The feeling surging in his body at having her in his arms, felt so strong and perfect.

Bella turned in his arms. And she looked up at him. Her brown eyes shone bright with tears.

“Don’t cry,” he said kissing her eyelids.

“I need you,” she said her voice catching slightly.

Karic hissed. He picked her up, and walked with her to the bed. He laid her on the bed, going down with her.

“I need you too,” he whispered as his body trembled. He closed his eyes as desire so strong caused through him. “f**k…baby. I’ve never felt anything like this before.”

Karic leaned down and took her lips. His hands tunneled beneath her body pulling her to him tightly. Bella moaned feeling his hard c**k against her stomach.

She wrapped her thighs around him, wanting to feel so much more of him.

He kissed down her neck, making her dizzy. Her body ignited as if he lit a flame within her. She sank her nails into her back.

And as her body woke up, and so did her thirst for his blood. She felt it like a rush through her veins. Her ears peaked up as the beating of his heart echoed all around her.

Bella whimpered as her hunger climbed to a whole new level. Her teeth sharpened in her mouth and all she could think about was sinking them into his flesh.

She licked her tongue into his mouth, her sharp canines sharpening further. His tongue flicked on her teeth, and the taste of his blood filled her mouth. 

Bella bowed off the bed, as the heady and delicious taste hit her tongue.

And she felt it to the tips of her tongue.

Bella groaned wanting more. She didn’t even think as she pushed Karic to his back and straddled his waist as her teeth sank into the side of his neck. And she drank deep before she realized what she had done.

Karic released a sound of surprise, and then lay still beneath her. His breathing came in fast gasps. His mind felt like it was in a hazy dream he couldn’t wake up from.

Bella pushed off him so fast she catapulted off the bed, and hit the floor with a thud.

Oh God…oh God….no…. she covered her mouth with her hand as she slid on the floor to hide in the corner.

Karic lay there frozen as something electric and so good, passed through his body. He could feel the twin holes on his neck, throbbing as if his heart lived there. He raised his hand and touched the wound with his fingers.

He groaned as his body shivered at the slight press of his fingers.

She bit him, and she drank his blood.  

She’s… his mind supplied the word, but he pushed it away.

She couldn’t be.

She walked in the sun, her skin felt warm, and soft. She was radiant and sweet, not a pale monster that lived in the dark.

She couldn’t be a…no …but he could still feel the sensual pull of her mouth as she drank from him.

Karic hissed as his body turned hot just thinking about it.  

He sat up on the bed, and look around the room to find her. She was in the corner hiding from him.

“Bella,” he said getting out of bed.

Bella cowered in the corner. She couldn’t look at him.

No…she couldn’t believe she did that. She…how could she lose control like that? She’s never been controlled by the thirst. Never.

“Please leave,” she said as he got closer to her. The scent of his blood came with him. And she sniffed the air, still hungering for it. No, she screamed in her mind, as her desire for him mingled with hunger for his blood.

“Leave!” she screamed.

“Okay,” Karic said getting to his feet. He took a step away from her even though he didn’t want to. He didn’t understand what happened in that bed, he knew he should be scared that she bit him. But he wasn’t.

He wanted…he wanted her to do it again.

But she didn’t look like she was willing to talk to him now. He turned to the door wondering if anyone heard her scream. It didn’t sound like it. But he didn’t want to take any chances.

Shit…Karic turned the window. He should leave. But everything in him said no. He had to stay there with her.

“Bella,” he tried again, but she shook her head still hiding from him.

“Leave, I don’t want you here. This was a mistake,” she said her voice all teary.

A mistake? Wasn’t she feeling what he was feeling?

“What the hell are you talking about?” Karic asked confused, and slightly hurt. Her behaviour irritated him somehow. She had no right to make it like he hurt her or something.

“No. Leave,” she said looking up at him, her face enraged in a way he has never seen before.

Karic took a step back.

“What the hell? You bit me! You need to tell me what the hell is going on here,” he said staring down at her. “Bella!”

Bella shook her head unable to face him.

“Dammit, you don’t think I deserve answers. What the hell is this? What hell are you?”

Silence reigned after his question.

Karic stared at her for a few minutes. And then he walked to the window. He checked if anyone lingered outside there. He gave Bella one last look, and then slipped out into the night. He walked in the shadows listening for any noise. He didn’t hear anything. He guessed David was elsewhere preoccupied.

Karic made his way to his room. He closed the door behind him, and leaned against it.

What just happened? He asked himself.

He took a deep breath as he lifted his fingers to the wound on his neck. He closed his eyes reliving the moment he felt her bite.

Fuck…he groaned as his c**k harden in his pants.  

If he thought he couldn’t resist her before, now he was going to be addicted to her.

Bella didn’t know how long she sat there still hiding in the corner.

Guilt swirled in her stomach making her feel sick. She touched her stomach praying that she doesn’t vomit the little blood she managed to draw from him, because that will be the first and the last taste she had of her mate.

How could she…?

She couldn’t believe she did that…. she forced her bite on her mate without even telling him, what she is.

Oh God…

She touched her lips. His taste still lingered in her mouth. It was a taste she didn’t think she could forget.

If only she hadn’t bitten him like that, Bella thought with a shake of her head.

She gingerly got up from the floor, stretching her cramped legs. She groaned as she made her way to the bed.

She sat down and tried to think of how she was going to face him again, that’s if he didn’t reject her first.

Oh brother I messed up, she cried. I couldn’t wait to talk to him first.

“What the hell? You bit me! You need to tell me what the hell is going on here.”

She shook her head as his words filled her mind. She scrunched her eyes closed.

She didn’t think she could do this.

She wiped her mouth and got to her feet. And rushed out of her room to Marian’s room. She knocked until Marian opened the door.

“What?” she asked angrily.

“I’ll go with you,” Bella announced.

“Oh yes!” Marian screamed. And this time Bella didn’t mind the sound, because it drowned out her own shouting at herself to stop running and talk to her mate.
