  They rode the horses to a base that was used by the soldiers for their training at the very edge of the forest. Karic looked at the simple structure that housed the soldiers when the training season was underway. It reminded him so much of home. Of who he was. He looked around him at the noble men of the court, they talked and treated him like one of them. Their acceptance of him was heartwarming. Though it was taking time for him to get used to it, because something deep down within him still told him that he didn’t belong here. He sighed as he stopped his horse. They dismounted from the horses since they were going to go into the forest by foot. The soldiers rushed forward to take the horses to a corral next to the simple structure. They had bows and quivers full of arrows ready
