Waking up this morning I felt a sense of relief, I hope Adam chooses the right path… I never want to keep Mason from him but if I have to I will. I get up and see that it's going to be another beautiful day so I pull open my curtains and open the windows. I had a quick shower before dressing in a white summer dress and pulled on my brown-laced slip on sandals. I brushed through my hair and let it drop down my back, I didn't wear make up today. I walked to masons room and saw him standing waiting for me, I smiled and picked him up then I sat down in the rocking chair sitting him on my lap. "What do you want to do today?", I asked looking at him0. "Mmmuuumm", he said giggling. I smiled and kissed his head. "How about we go for a walk on the beach for a little while before we go to your dads", I said as he smiled and giggled and began his morning babble as I got his clothes for the day ready. It was like he was talking to me in baby language it was cute, I just wished I could understand him. I picked him up and lay him on his changing table. I changed his nappy before dressing him in grey shorts and a white button up shirt and his green jacket and Nikes. I grabbed a bag and put his stuff in before walking down stairs to get him and me something to eat  I got out a yogurt and a biscuit, then some juice before sitting down to feed him. Mom was still asleep; it's good that she's coming around.  James walks in with race car boxers and messing hair like her just had a heated make out session with gale. "Everything seems to be going well", I said smirking. He blushed and made coffee. "Want some?", he asked and I shook my head. " I'll drink masons juice", I said holding up the juice box. I gave it to him and let him sit there while I make mom some breakfast. I finish making fruit salad, juice and take it up to her; I place it on her bedside table placing a tee towel over her fruit salad kissing her head before walking out.  I walked back down stairs to Mason and James, gale had joined them. They were so cute together with Mason it was like he was theirs. He loved them so much he goes crazy when he sees them, especially James because he knows they will sit there and act like children. "You two would make the best parents, do you plan in adopting in the future?", I asked sitting down . " Ummm we... I...", James stuttered and I smiled. "Well I know I want a kid one day, what about you booboo?", Gale said looking at James who just nodded his head. I checked the time and it was Nine am, we should go. "Ok we're going to head off we'll be back tonight if theirs any problems call me have fun today chickens", I said hugging them before taking Mason and walking to the car.  I buckled him in and gave him a toy to occupy himself; I got in and drove to the beach that was only twenty minutes away. I parked and walked over to his side and got him out, I locked the car and we walked towards the beach. I walked towards the sand and I took off Masons shoes and mine. I threw them to the side and placed Mason on his feet while holding his hands, He giggled as the sand touched his feet. I smiled at his cuteness. As the water came up it splashed his feet, his laughter filled the air along with my own. I walked up a bit more before coming in front of him and holding one hand. Soon after he let go of my other one and stood.  "That’s it baby, you can do it come to me", I said taking steps back and holding out my hands. He started to take steps wobbling but kept standing up, I smiled as he took two more steps and I picked him up and twirled him around and kissed him. "Yay you did it!", I said happily. As the hour went by I decided it was time to get over to Adams if I wanted to finish everything. Adams parents text me and asked if they could take Mason out for the day to get away from the riots to come of today. I smiled and text back saying it would be great. "Well let's go then", I said a I smiled and walked to the car holding masons hands. We eventually got to the car Mason taking his time; we got in and drove to the pack house. I gave mason his bottle of juice while we drove and by the time we got there he'd finished the bottle. I got him out and took his bag and walked into the house. Pack members greeted me and said hello to Mason. Adams parents rushed towards me and took Mason covering him with kisses, I smiled and kissed Mason. "If there's any problems call me okay", I said as I gave Adams dad Masons bag. "Same to you he's been a bit of a...", masons dad said and I sighed. “Ass", I said and he smiled and laughed. "But I'm sure he'll behave because its you, he listens to you", he said I smiled and said goodbye to Mason before they head out the door. I walked upstairs following the scent of alcohol which lead to Adams room, I sighed and opened the door to find Adam sprawled out like a star fish on his bed. It stunk in here and he had a bottle of whiskey next to the bed, which I do not remember being there when I left. I sighed and walked to the window opening the window and curtains. "Time to get up and wash the stink and what ever is on your cheek off… Again" , I said as he stirs and looks at me.  " Ill run the shower and you just meet me in the office when you’re clean", I said as I walked out and to the office, which looked like a nuclear bomb had gone off. There was no storage or organisation. We need ammo and supplies. "Sarah", he said as he entered the door smelling great and looking presentable. "Well Adam looks like we're going shopping", I said and he looked tired or hung over, both I guess. "Lets go", I said as I walked past him and he followed. "Sarah I can’t do this", he said and I stopped and starred at him and he ran his hand through his hair. "Don’t... Don't", I said with my hand on my head. "I can’t talk about this... I've just stitched what was left of my heart together, I lost my father to your psychotic flings obsession of getting rid of me, it was my fault he's dead and I'm taking this step by step. I'm scared that I’ll lose Mason and I need to get over you I cant bring myself to talk to you about this so please… lets just be civil for Masons sake", I said as I saw everything fade from him. It was like I was watching him slowly die; the light that was left had faded. It hurt me and I couldn't look at him ... I turned and walked out and this time he didn't follow me. I got to the car and closed the door. Then it all just came out like a storm. I killed him… I killed the light in him... I killed the light in me.
