Advanced European History was usually one of my favorite classes, but this morning the tension from yesterday’s locked room incident made it impossible to focus on Professor Hargrove’s lecture about Renaissance banking systems. Alexander sat three rows ahead of me, his platinum hair perfectly styled and his posture rigidly correct, but I could see the tension in his shoulders. He hadn’t looked at me once since class started.
