Addison and I weave our way to the outside tables, our lunch trays gripped tightly as we make our way toward Mel and the girls, who are already crowded around two picnic benches that they have pushed together to fit us all.
Taking a seat beside Selene, I smiled brightly as she nodded in greeting, ‘hey’ she said, ‘you guys are finally here! Just in time.’
Taking a bite of my burger, I wiped my fingers on a napkin as I chewed and swallowed, ‘what’s up?’ I asked curiously, Addison turning to face the others from her seat across from me, eyebrows raised in interest.
‘She doesn’t even know I exist’ Tanya wailed, covering her face with her hands as Mel threw her arm around her best friend.
