She saw it.

Lily dreamt of what I did.
In the beginning, when I felt it, that change in her breathing, her heart beat picking up, her panic, the flashes of her death— it shook me. And it scared me. It scared me so much that I thought I lost her.
She was just sleeping peacefully one moment and the next, I felt like she was being attacked. There was this pain and a surge of other emotions that I had never felt from her before.
I thought David might have done something that I didn’t sense. That he had someone kill her. That he planned her death while he spoke to me.
That I missed something.
