Grim ‘There are humans on the mountain again.’ I didn’t even turn nor acknowledge who spoke, stretching uncaringly in my spot and eliciting a low growl. It was one of those days again. There have been a lot of those days recently. The days when it is absolutely mind numbing that not even the suffering of others can make me happy. The days that made me crave to be a human again. The days that made me want a life. ‘Two of them. A man and a woman.’ In truth, I had sensed the humans when they were miles away from the mountain before they even began their climb.
