Chasing Shadows
(Esha’s POV)
Andy’s actions were driving me up the wall.
It was like I was on some twisted rollercoaster, trying to make sense of the constant push and pull, the way he veered from hot to cold in the span of a heartbeat. One minute he was ignoring me, treating me like I didn’t exist, and the next, he was practically yanking me against his chest, his eyes filled with a heat that made it hard to breathe.
And then… nothing.
I’d spent the last few days replaying that moment in the library, trying to figure out what the hell had happened. Why he’d been there, why he’d touched me. Why he’d looked at me like he was struggling not to say something—something important. And most of all, why he’d just walked away.
