ZAHRA “Zahra!” my mate yelled desperately, following right behind me as I rushed outside. In a trance, I could barely hear him, yet I still stopped a few feet from our house. We had been chilling in the living room when, through the wide windows, we watched the sky turn black. Somewhere deep inside of me, I knew that the battle we had been preparing for was about to start, but my mind was struggling to process it.
