I shook off the anxiety before continuing up the stairs towards the office. I walked in, not bothering to knock. As expected, my brother was there, along with his Beta and Gamma. They all turned to me at the same time, but for a good minute, no one said anything.
“So… How’d it go?” Martin finally asked.
“Martin!” Ben whisper-yelled, elbowing him.
“What? Me asking doesn’t change anything!” the Beta defended himself.
“She forgave me,” I revealed at last, and the three of them went quiet again.
“Thank Goddess!” Ben let his head fall back in relief again. “You two would be miserable without each other. Thankfully, Zahra is a lot more mature and forgiving than you are.”
