The pack was on high alert since the Alpha made a pronouncement about the latest attack. Scarlet Meadows had lived relatively in peace for about two years after other leaders stopped trying to challenge Ty for his title when Tristan left. We also hadn’t been targeted by supernatural creatures while my bond with Tristan was broken.
I guess the wolves already knew that our long period of truce had come to an end before Ty voiced his concern based on the singularities of the attack. It didn’t come as a surprise to any of us, but it certainly didn’t help us feel relaxed.
