Chapter 46

2545 Words

Riley The start of our senior year came in the blink of an eye. Throughout the summer, there was never a day that we didn't do something. Trips to every local site that we could think of, daily strolls to the park, simply relaxing outside in the backyard watching as Tommy held his son on the tire swing moving it just slightly, and anything else to keep us occupied. I had even brought Tommy Jr to the diner, making sure Henry and Marie were doing good. I have missed them and our crazy banter since not being able to work there while lugging a watermelon sized stomach. Mr. Preston and Mildred did see to it that the they and the diner were doing okay when I couldn't be there, so for that, I was internally grateful. Deck and Dylan returned from their honeymoon super tanned and super relaxed.
