I watch as Riley hugs her mother goodbye along with Kevin. Her mom eyes me with narrowed eyes and the pure fear I feel with Kevin's glance my way makes me want to hurl. I gulp down the nerves and watch as they both approach me.

"It has been a long time Tommy. How have you been?" She asks me in such a sweet tone. Kevin eyes me skeptically and I nod trying to find my voice.
"I have been good. Still playing football." She smiles.
"I'm glad you are doing well Tommy. Riley hasn't told me much regarding how you guys ended things before but from the looks of it, I am assuming you two are trying again?" I nod, not really knowing exactly what to say.
