Tommy I sit, bouncing my leg up and down, in the same booth as Earl had sat at every Friday, eating his food and talking with Riley. I wait for her parents to meet me here at the diner, to ask them a question, a question I have been meaning to ask them for a long time now. Marie comes to me and sports a big smile. "Hey there hon. What brings you here today? Riley isn't on the schedule and before you berate me or Henry for continuing to allow her to work, it was all her idea." I laugh. "No, no. That is not why I came here. Can you keep a secret?" She looks intrigued now. "Oh boy. Let's hear it." She sits across from me and I tell her my plan which earns me a gasp then a mighty hug. "Chivalry isn't dead. Thank god. Good luck hon. I'm rooting for you!" She stands and shifts into waitre
