“H-heath Norwood wants Kinsley,” Esmae says. “He sent us to kidnap her.”
Esmae continues to struggle in Zeidan’s grip. She looks at me, almost pleading for help. I should just let her die, but part of me knows I can’t let that happen.
“Zeidan, let her go,” I say quietly at first.
“What does Heath Norwood want with my mate?” Zeidan hisses.
“Zeidan,” I say again quietly.
“I don’t know,” Esmae groans. “I didn’t ask.”
“So, why did you and your wretched mother try to take Kinsley?” Zeidan hisses.
“Heath freed my mother and told us to bring Kinsley to him,” Esmae explains. “That’s it.”
“Zeidan, let her go,” I say louder, and he turns to me.
“What?” He asks.
‘Let me help,’ Genesis mutters. “Let the girl go,” She growls out loud to Zeidan.
