Kinsley I take a deep breath as we step into that large chamber. It is a circular room with a dozen men and women sitting behind a long bench. Their eyes all land on me, and I want to run, but Austen puts his hand on my back and guides me in. “Andre will stay beside you,” He whispers and walks away from me. I watch as he walks to a throne at the center of the room and sits down. I sigh and glance at Andre who gives me a small smile. “Kinsley Cunningham,” An older man with thinning grey hair and a pointed nose stares down at me. I glance at Austen, who smiles softly. I gulp as I look at the other man. “I am the Head of the Council, Sterling Darcey,” he explains.
