“Ms. Perry just woke up, Your Majesty,” the doctor announces as I enter the hospital.
“Thank you,” I say to him. “Can I speak with her?”
“Yes,” the doctor nods and leads me down the hallway. He stops at the entrance of a room.
“Is she alright?” I ask.
“She seems to be,” He responds.
“Good,” I nod and step into the room. I stare at the still woman on the bed. She is pale and staring into space. “Hello, Madeline,” I say as I near the bed.
She blinks her eyes and looks at me. Instantly, she starts crying, “I am so sorry.”
“Why are you sorry, Madeline?” I ask in a low tone.
“I didn’t want to do it,” She blubbers. “I love Kinsley. But- “
