As soon as the door opened, I smelt the scent.
My eyes stayed on Sage till she got to her door. I watched her tense when her hand went to the door handle. When she whispered, someone was watching her.
Lou growled. Their scent wafted to me.
“Inside,” I whispered, which was all I could get out without going straight to the person who was clearly hiding. Sage opened the door and headed inside.
Without hesitation and using my speed, I ran straight to the stairs where a girl was crouched down. Her eyes were on the corridor, but as soon as she realized I was in front of her, her eyes widened. “Alpha,” she murmured, which only made me more pissed.
