Walking away from Sage, I felt a little lighter, and knowing that she would give us a chance was something that Lou and I had hoped for.
Lou hummed, but it was short-lived when we got to the front door and spotted my father. He was wearing his training gear and leaning against the wall.
“You could have mind-linked me about this,” I muttered to Jayden through a mind link.
Jayden chuckled. “And miss Sage go red,” he said. “Not a chance, and besides, Shaun sent me up. He thinks your father is joining us because of Alpha Bryce.”
“Why does he think that?” I asked, but Jayden groaned. “I don’t know. Shaun, and you know more than I do about the guy, but if yesterday was to go by, I would want to watch what he does.”
I said nothing as Jayden closed the mind link.
