I took longer in the shower than planned. Wrapping the surrounding towel around me, I opened the door and spotted Sara sitting in bed. Her eyes met mine. “I shouldn’t have—” she whispered, making me move closer and shake my head.
“Pack members threatened you,” I murmured, feeling Nyx come closer to see what was happening. “It is understandable, and I wasn’t going to let you stay in your room alone.”
