AUSTIN Walking into the hall, I spotted Jayden and Shaun sitting at the far end and away from other people. I headed straight for them and sat down. Jayden was telling Shaun all about training and about my father being there. I watched as Shaun nodded, but his eyes met mine. I wanted to know what happened with Sage. “Tell him to shut up,” Lou grunted. “I want to know about mate.” I said nothing, and after a short time, Jayden looked at me with a knowing look. “You can ask about her now,” he said with a sheepish grin. “I thought you would have told me to zip it so you could find out about—” I growl, which cut him off. I looked around the hall. I didn’t want anyone to hear Sage’s name and her being my mate until we were both ready. Looking back toward Jayden, who pretended to zip his m
