His words echoed around my head before they sunk in. “Stay with me,” he blurted out again, making me freeze. “Stay the night.”
Nyx howled and pleaded to stay.
My whole body was aching and wanting to, but I couldn’t just leave Sara alone. She would be scared if she woke and couldn’t find me.
“She’ll be fine,” Nyx said. “We can leave before the sun comes up. She won’t know. Besides, we don’t know when we can see mate again.”
